Project Title:   Improving Livelihood in Marginalized Rural Areas of Bethlehem and Hebron Governorates

This project aims to improve food security by providing sustainable income to 720 poor and marginalized households in 17 vulnerable Palestinian communities in Bethlehem and Hebron Governorates. The project specifically works to improve households’ capacity to produce food for both household consumption and market; in addition to managing waste water and diversifying farmers production .Moreover, the project emphasizes on developing capacities, skills, and Enhancing community participation. More specifically, the project will rehabilitate rainwater cisterns, improve home gardens with drip irrigation system and planting materials, distribute of field crops and forages seeds for dry land farming, rehabilitate the Artas village irrigation canal, rehabilitate of small ruminants sheds, establish pilot aquaculture production system, improve water quality and sanitation of the Ein Elbald Spring in Nahalin village through introducing small scale wastewater treatment units.
